Lough Shannagh and Slieve Donard

Today I made much more hiking than yesterday, and already at 6.30am I was on my way to Lough Shannagh. The path was quite flat, but it was really far away. The lake and also all the nature around was veery nice.

Than I catched the first bus to Newcastle, at 10am, and something before 11am I was on the way up to Slieve Donard - the highest peak in Northern Ireland. It is 850metres high, and there are more paths leading on the top. I decided to take the path from Newcastle (for practical reason - I don't have a car) . All the trip up and back down was around 5 hours, and on the way back I could hardly feel my feet ;) But I have to say that it was worth it!

More pictures from Mourne Mountains are in photogallery, and some panoramas are there as well.

Prepni do slovenčiny.
